The Response Specialist is responsible for providing virtual assistance to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Response Specialist will handle all incoming alarm signal activities and take the appropriate action per protocol. The Response Specialist will also make outbound calls in order to dispatch emergency services regarding alarm activities while following standard operating procedures. This position allows individuals with developmental disabilities to gain independency and maintain autonomy.
This role requires heavy computer and phone work as well as taking verbal instructions, typing, reading, speaking and writing.
Principal Duties:
• Operate all call center equipment and peripheral equipment
• Interact with external and internal customers via telephone, email and in person
• Promote a positive customer service atmosphere
• Initiate necessary action when irregular signals are received, or trouble develops
• Notify appropriate parties and customers if alarm signal is received
• Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions
• Respond quickly and precisely to incoming phone calls
• Document all alarm activity and phone calls via computer and activity reports
Qualifications:
• 18+ Years old
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Clean Background check and work history
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Intermediate computer knowledge including Microsoft applications
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Comfortable handling potential emergency situations
• Successful completion of training modules

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 3rd shift, Weekend availability
